It’s warm outside and there’s a potential hurricane in the gulf. Wouldn’t know we only have 21 days ‘till Thanksgiving. A somewhat smaller list this week, but some very interesting artists. Check out the highlights and then explore the list! 

1. David Kushner - this singer-songwriter, originally from Chicago, rocketed to fame with his 2022 EP release featuring his deep, soulful pop. He’ll be at Bayou Music Center Saturday, November 9th.

2. Seth Walker - playing an authentic, rhythmic, blues-infected Americana, he’ll be at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck this Friday. 

3. Melissa Carper - her marriage of country and jazz styles has earned her the moniker of “Hillbillie Holiday”. You’ll find that unique blend at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck on Saturday at 7:00pm. Check out Jolie Holland, who will be playing at 9:30pm, if this sounds interesting to you.

4. Griffin Swank - this Houstonian’s unique psych-pop sound recalls the Beatles. He’ll be at Dan Electro’s Sunday night. 

5. Devin The Dude - with deep ties to Houston’s early- ‘90s rap scene, Devin The Dude has a new single and will be at Scout Bar late Friday night.
