We’re in the last week of June and those long summer days feel like they’ll never end. If you’re ready to dance the night away, we’ve got plenty of options for you. A few highlights:

1. Bayou City Funk - This fun hometown funk band will be having a single release party at Dan Electro’s on Friday. The perfect kind of music for a summer night.

2. Texas Medical Center Orchestra - Yes, the Medical Center has an orchestra! Joined by Dr. Mei Rui (molecular biochemist + Bronze Medalist of the 2015 World Piano Competition) they’ll play Gershwin and Dvorak this Saturday at Miller Outdoor Theatre.

3. George Ensle - In the ‘60s he shared the stage with the legendary Townes Van Zandt right here in Houston. On Saturday night you can catch him playing traditional folk and Americana at Dosey Doe.
