Happy Juneteenth! A unique mix of bands in town this weekend. Check out our highlights and then explore the list: 

1. Elita - this band hails from a town of 700 in Newfoundland and describes themselves as alt gothic electronica. They’ll be at House of Blues Friday night. 

2. Hayes Carll - a native Houstonian and gifted lyricist, this country music artist will be playing McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Friday and Saturday. 

3. Akeem Ali - with a ‘70s alter-ego he calls “Keemy Cassanova”, he’ll bring his nostalgia-inflected rap to White Oak Sunday night.
