The hottest month in Houston is here, and this weekend’s lineup is on fire!
Sorry, that was pretty corny. In any case, there are some great artists playing in Houston this weekend. After checking out the highlights, review the full list below and click the artist’s name to hear their music.
Samantha Fish - fans of The Black Keys or Amy Winehouse will be interested in this blues guitarist from Kansas City. She’ll be playing at The Heights Theater at 8:00pm Friday.
Amanda Pascali - a first-generation immigrant from Sicily, she blends American folk and Italian rhythms to create a unique sound wholly her own. 2021 Houston Chronicle “Musician of the Year,” she’ll be playing at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Friday at 7:00pm.
The Texas Gentlemen - having played with Kris Kristofferson, George Strait, Leon Bridges and Shakey Graves, this band’s innovative sound draws upon classic American country, blues and rock. They’ll be playing at Dan Electro’s Friday at 9:00pm.
The Burkharts - hailing from Buffalo, New York, this band puts a contemporary twist on surf rock and will be playing at Dan Electro’s Sunday at 7:00pm.
Hana Vu - this LA-based indie artist has just released a new album scored 7.6 by Pitchfork. She’ll be playing at White Oak Music Hall Friday at 8:00pm.
